Tswalu Game Reserve

Tswalu Kalahari Reserve

Tswalu Kalahari is South Africa’s largest private game reserve. It covers a breathtaking area of over 100 000 ha. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife including zebra, white rhino, gemsbok, springbok, eland, red hartebeest and some rare species including sable antelope, hartmanns mountain zebra and the desert black rhino.

Meerkat viewing is fantastic as 2 colonies are found in this area. Tswalu is also a great place to view aardvark and pangolin. The weather here is ideal, with summer lasting almost 6 months. While during winter (June – August) the daytime is cool and night-time temperatures can occasionally drop below freezing.

Attractions and activities to enjoy here include game drives, bush walks, horse riding trails and viewing rock carvings which are up to 380 000 years old.

You can also cool down by the luxurious pool or spoil yourself at the Tswalu Kalahari Spa. Treatments are offered both indoors and outdoors within the indigenous spa garden. For more info, visit www.tswalu.com or call +27 (0) 53 781 9331
