Spitskop Nature Reserve

Upington

This 5641 ha nature reserve is located about 13 km north of Upington.

The name Spitskop comes from the steep rocky hill near the entrance of the reserve.

The reserve is home to a large range of wildlife including gemsbok, springbok, zebra, eland, steenbok, wildebeest, camel, suricate and ostrich. It is also home to a great deal of birdlife.
