The lush green forests in the Garden Route region are alive with birdlife, indigenous trees, flora and wildlife and are an outdoor haven. The Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour is a unique eco-adventure which takes place high above the forest floor where you will be surrounded by spectacular scenery. Steel cables link a series of ten wooden platforms built high up in giant Outeniqua Yellowwood trees and visitors are fully harnessed as they glide from tree to tree.

A canopy tour involves sliding from one platform to another, all of which are suspended up to thirty meters above ground. The three-hour guided journey gives visitors the opportunity to feel part of the forest, to learn about the ecology, trees and giant ferns and to spot the elusive Knysna Loerie or Samago monkey. Two trained guides accompany you and ensure the safety of the trip while also pointing out interesting plants and animals along the way.
