Located in the small village of Stanford just outside of Hermanus, is the Birkenhead Brewery. This was the first brewing estate in the Southern Hemisphere and offers beer tours and tastings of the small but growing micro-brewery.

Some of their beers include the Birkenhead Pilsner, Birkenhead Honey Blond and Birkenhead Black Snake. Brewery Tours are offered Wednesday to Friday at 11am or 3pm, and must be booked in advance.

Wine and beer tastings are available in the restaurant and bar, Monday to Sunday from 10h00 to 17h00.

Both the Birkenhead pub and restaurant are open Wednesday to Sunday and offer casual meals while enjoying the spectacular views of the Klein River mountains.

Birkenhead also caters for small and large groups as well as weddings, birthday celebrations and business conferences.
