Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Straddling the border of Botswana and South Africa lies the 38,000 square kilometre Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The beautiful red sands of the Kalahari Desert and the famous black-maned Kalahari Lions makes the Kgalagadi a truly remarkable place. Known as the Place of Thirst temperatures can rise to over 40⁰C in summer, with temperatures dipping below freezing in the winter months.

The park features 3 rest camps and 6 tented wilderness camps. The !Xerry Wilderness Trail is a 2 day and night trail where visitors can walk in veld along with experienced guides. The native Mier and Khomani San communities still live in the area with over 100 000 Khoi speakers in the area.
