Hluhluwe is located in the heart of Zululand on the northern coastline of KwaZulu-Natal; an area rich in wildlife and home to a number of wilderness reserves and parks. Perhaps the most well known of these is the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve which is famous for its conservation efforts in rescuing the white rhino from the brink of extinction. Today the park covers a large area of over 96 000 hectares and is home to the Big Five, including both black and white rhino, and a wide diversity of birdlife. Game viewing, hiking and bird watching can all be enjoyed and a variety of accommodation options are on offer.

Hluhluwe is a 2-hour drive from Durban and a 4-hour drive from Johannesburg and other attractions including the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park and the beaches, lagoons and rivers of Sodwana Bay, St Lucia and Cape Vidal are all within easy reach.
