The breathtakingly beautiful Midlands region is situated inland between the provincial capital of Pietermaritzburg and the slopes of the Southern Drakensberg. The Midlands has a many great nature reserves with breath-taking views and picnic spots. The Albert Falls Dam Nature Reserve has numerous nature trails and bass fishing, the Loteni Nature Reserve is a popular trout fishing spot, and the Kamberg Nature Reserve with its incredible scenery and great picnic spots.
