Mokopane, formerly Potgietersrus, falls into the Capricorn region of Limpopo – a region rich in African culture, wildlife and Voortrekker and Anglo-Boer history. The Mokopane area is a rich agricultural area and is home to one of the largest citrus producing farms in the country.
The nearby Makapan’s Caves are of historical and archaeological interest and there are a variety of outdoor and adventure activities for visitors to enjoy. Two hours from Gauteng and en-route to the Kruger National Park, Zimbabwe and Botswana - Mokopane is a popular stopover.
