The town of Rustenburg is located on the northern slopes of the Magaliesburg and offers a variety of historical and outdoor activities for the visitor to enjoy. The streets of the town are lined with purple jacaranda trees and activity is centered around agriculture and mining. The nearby Rustenburg Nature Reserve is worth a visit for game-viewing and for the many types of tree and shrub in the reserve – and there are a number of craft shops, galleries and eateries to visit and enjoy.
