This little town on the Cape’s South Coast is surrounded by a rich diversity of vegetation and is particularly well known for its aloe industry with a wide range of aloe products on offer. It boasts an export industry of dried flowers including proteas, grasses and the well-known Albertinia Bridal Erica of the region. For those who wish to explore the surroundings, perhaps a hiking trail through the Rein’s Nature Reserve at Gouriqua or a visit to a wine cellar at the foot of the Langeberg is a possible outing.
