The wonderful town of Barrydale is located in the Tradouw Valley at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains between the Cape Overberg and the Klein Karoo. The town is very accessible and offers a great portal to either the Klein Karoo or the popular Route 62. Barrydale was founded when farmers moved inland looking for arable land, and many fine orchards and fruit farms can be found in the valley.

Barrydale is great any time of the year with many ripe fruit in summer, the protea season starts in autumn, and in winter the area around Barrydale gets transformed into a wonderful carpet of colour as the aloes and succulents of the Klein Karoo break into flower.

There is plenty to do in the town whether hiking around the Langeberg, or visiting the Warmwaterberg hot springs, or just relaxing in this quaint farming town.
