Situ Island resort is nestled on the north-western tip of Situ Island, in the spectacular Quirimbas National Park and forming part of the Quirimbas Archipelago.
Situ is the only lodge on the island and the rest of the island is virtually uninhabited, apart from a quaint local itinerant fishing village on the south-western side of our island. There are eight private chalets spread along the main beach, with spectacular sea-views from each one. The dining area where guests gather for their 3 delicious meals daily and the home to our honesty bar, has spectacular views over the ocean.
Each traditionally built Mozambican chalet is spacious and comfortable, with ceiling fans, built-in cupboards, spacious en-suite showers and bathrooms. There is a turndown service and you are welcome to request a wake-up call. The rooms are well positioned to accentuate the seaview directly from the bed. Each chalet has a private veranda with day beds or hammocks.
We have several reference books on fish and birds and a fair number of novels in the entertainment area which also acts as our library. We have a full DSTV bouquet and various sport matches are firm favourites. The honesty bar is stocked with various local and international labels. Guest are free to help themselves. Tea and coffee are also available 24/7 in the clubhouse. The resort does also offer a laundry service. Wi-Fi is available upon request, but it not very strong. We do encourage guests to try and disconnect from technology at Situ and reconnect with nature.
