Hear the silence in this remote breathtaking wilderness in the heart of the Baviaanskloof World Heritage Site. Perched precariously in the saddle of a ridge with panoramic views of the dramatic gorge and mountains, stone and glass chalets blend perfectly with their surroundings.
Sederkloof has six air-conditioned and luxuriously appointed chalets for two guests each, four chalets being doubles and two twins.
Each chalet is carefully sited at the edge of a gorge in such a way as to provide complete privacy to its guests as well as affording a private view of the gorge and mountain unimpaired by other human artefacts. Chalets include two Single beds (that can be made up as a Double), two comfortable lounge chairs, two deck chairs and a deck umbrella, a private shower outside, a bath with a view in front of the window, two basins, amenities, gowns, hand mirror and hair dryer, a safe, a writing desk, reading lamps, candles, insect repellent, battery torch, coffee, tea and rusks.
Camp Naguna consists of 2 sleeping tents (sleeping 2 people each), 2 bathroom tents (each with bath, toilet, basin, and outside shower), a fully equipped kitchen in a small cave, and a small splash pool. This includes exclusive access to the Great Naguna Kloof and Hiking trail. Camp Naguna can only be reserved by one group at a time in order to ensure maximum privacy and enjoyment.
A short walk from the chalets stands the Lodge, spectacularly located on the edge of another gorge with glorious views of the Baviaanskloof Mountains. Within the Lodge is a comfortable sitting area for guests who wish to socialise. Delicious meals are served either in the dining area or outside, according to our guests' preference. Sometimes guests are surprised by a romantic dinner by firelight in a Bushman Cave. Outside is a large deck, part under cover and part open, with loungers on which to tan and a crystal clear swimming pool for that refreshing plunge.
Sederkloof Lodge is situated in the mountains in quite rough terrain. The main lodge building and chalets have high decks, which are therefore dangerous for small children.
Our policy is therefore not to accommodate children under the age of six years old,with half price for children between 6 and 15 years old,and full price for children above the age of 16 and older.
