Peace of Eden eco Vegetarian Forest Retreat & Traveller's Lodge. A nature lovers paradise, in the heart of the Garden Route, close to forests, lakes and pristine white beaches.
Ideal for adventurous travellers or those seeking to experience a more holistic holiday at a peaceful retreat. 6 km's west of Knysna.
We have a variety of rustic yet charming Woodcutter Cottages, self-catering Barn Cabins and Eco Forest Tents on timber decks in the forest.
All our accommodation units are fully furnished with all the basics for a comfy stay. Set alongside the green wonderland of forest and pasture.
At night the natural silence is overwhelmingly calming and the star-littered dark skies, breathtaking.
On a greener note, we have an organic veggie garden where you can go pick some great el fresco dinner. If don’t feel like cooking, they offer the most scrumptious Vegetarian Breakfasts and meals to order - Please order when booking.
You will be greeted in the morning by the friendliest horses, as they graze near the paddock fence in front of your Cottage or by entertained by the vervet monkeys scampering along the forest canopy. Enjoy our well-marked meandering forest trails, canoeing on the beautiful lily pond or relax on your deck with a good book.
Each Cottage or Cabin has its own private bathroom with gas heated water, and kitchen galley or kitchenettes with 2 plate stove, kettle, microwave and toaster. There is a welcome tray of tea, plus a fan/heater. Some cabins have TV's with local channels only.
We offer: Secure parking, office/email facilities, baby sitting, aroma massage, Reiki, healing, astrology readings, forest walks and natural pond for swimming or paddling in a canoe.
