Welcome to Mermaid Castle, a unique gem within the developing town of Jacobs Bay. Just 10 Minutes from Vredenburg and 20 from Club Mykonos.
Mermaid Castle is a 10 sleeper villa with a large open plan kitchen, dining and leisure area that leads into the courtyard and braai area. This area is central and offers sea views and entrance to the entertainment area where you will find a pool table, flat screen with DSTV and a mini audio system along with many other activities to keep you entertained.
The overwhelming beauty of the Fynbos framed Atlantic Ocean is a hikers, bird lovers and flower gazers delight - with it's breathtaking scenes of colourful wildflowers in late winter and spring Jacobs Bay is often referred to as "Namaqualand by the sea". Jacobs Bay offers the visitor the perfect excuse to fish, dive, sail, go for long scenic walks or just to chill on the rocks with sundowners.
Legal responsibility
1. The person booking the home, Mermaid Castle, accepts full responsibility, in his personal capacity, for any losses, breakage or damage of any nature occurring to the home, or the content thereof, during their stay.
2. Agrees to convey these Terms and Conditions to all the members in his group, and
3. Accepts the responsibility to ensure that all members adhere to this stipulations of the Terms and
Conditions.
4. Accepts that the maximum capacity of the home is 10 and number of vehicles are limited to 4. Extra people and vehicles are not allowed.
Misbehaviours
Right of admission to Mermaid Castle is reserved. If any person misbehaves to the judgement of the manager, everyone in the group has to leave the premises immediately on request of the manager, without a warning.
The following actions are considered as misbehaviour:
1. Excessive noise and/or loud music-any time during the day or night.
2. If at any time there are more people on the premises than agreed to.
3. Any commercial activity, team building, party or disco, 21st birthday party, matric gathering (even after they have completed their final exams), bachelor, and hen parties.
4 Any other action judged by the manager as misbehaviour.
Notes
1. When neighbours can hear the music or noise it is “”excessive”” or “loud”.
2. Everyone in the group may be requested to leave the premises immediately, even though no warning was issued. If a group is perceived as a risk to Mermaid Castle, the manager may decide to refuse entrance to Mermaid Castle even at book-inn stage. In such instances payments will not be refunded.
3. Save electricity, switch the lights off when not needed.
4. The fireplace is only for show purpose and may strictly not be used.
5. Please make sure to insert the lock on the windows when leaving.
6. Close all the shutters.
7. Towels provided are not to be used on the beach.
8. Guests need to provide their own beach towels.
9. Please make sure to leave all the rooms keys in their doors when leaving.
The wood in the bathrooms are fragile, please be sure to wipe off any water spills on them.
10. Please use the cutting boards provided when cutting on the large table to protect it.
11. The washing basin in the courtyard is for washing hands only. The water runs into watering cans, please be sure that when the watering cans are full that they are emptied by watering the plants, that way they get water too.
Risk
All facilities are used at own risk. The owner does not accept any liability or legal responsibility whatsoever for any damage, loss or injuries incurred as a result of utilising or any other injuries or damages visitors may suffer at Mermaid Castle or on the property.
1. Smoking is not allowed in Mermaid Castle, or courtyard. Only exception is up the stairs away from open doors and windows.
2. Pets are not allowed in Mermaid Castle.
3. No items are to be removed from Mermaid Castle.
4. Towels provided are not to be used on the beach. Guests need to provide their own beach towels.
