Drie Kuilen accommodates large groups young and old. The “dormitory” facilities are ideal for school camps or sport groups that would like facilities to accommodate bigger numbers. Centrally located in the reserve and near the dam for outdoor and water activities.
Drie Kuilen Nature Reserve is situated in a beautiful part of the Montague district, in the Klein Karoo.
This mountainous terrain stretches over 4300ha with a rich variety of fauna and flora. Being only a two-hour drive away from Cape Town, this reserve is home to a wide variety of protected game and is rich in fynbos and renosterveld vegetation types. Game drives, mountain bike trails, rock art, 4×4 and hiking trails are just some of the activities available, with various accommodation options for guests to stay in. The climate in the area assures hot summers and cold winters, with snow occurring almost every year. Guests are encouraged to pack for all seasons when visiting as temperatures may vary substantially between day and night.
All crockery & cutlery, barbecue/braai essentials (grid/tongs/casserole), microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, oven and 4 plate electric stove.
Establishment facilities include: scenic drives, beautiful hiking trails, 2.5 hours from Cape Town, comfortable accommodation and great photographic opportunities.
Please note:
* No cell phone coverage on the Reserve.
* We, unfortunately, cannot accept credit cards or internet payments on the reserve, therefore any additional payments have to be made in cash.
* Any breakages will be payable on the day of your departure.
* Cleaners are available in the mornings at an additional cost.
* Children under the age of 2 are free, but please provide your own beds & bedding for them.
