Sea Glass is a welcoming self-catering guest house situated in Freeland Park a popular suburb of Scottburgh and is just minutes away from a host of popular coastal activities. From deep-sea fishing and shipwreck diving to exploring the famous Aliwal Shoal or surfing the waves and sunning oneself on one of the glorious sandy beaches nearby - the property having been built specifically for family holidays - will provide you with a convenient and comfortable base to enjoy the many adventures and activities the area has to offer.
The unique open-plan design of the house, making use of the sloping sea-facing plot, leads to a multi-functional and light filled space with a natural flow - allowing family and friends to convene and converse with ease, yet the practical layout still affords privacy when needed. Offering an expansive atmosphere, high ceilings, spacious rooms and wide open balconies as well as spectacular uninterrupted views of Scottburgh main beach - only a few minutes walk away - and a wonderful refreshing sea breeze naturally channeled up through the lush tropical valley in the front of the property ensures that you get that sought after "holiday feeling" . The open-plan kitchen has a modern mezzanine design with beautiful granite counter tops and is fully equipped for self-catering. The kitchen boasts a hob and under-counter oven, microwave, dishwasher, combination fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble-dryer for your convenience. The large open-plan lounge and dining area has an open, high beamed ceiling and expansive folding windows and a French door to accommodate the sub-tropical climate. Furnished with comfortable sofas - the lounge area overlooks the garden and has a fabulous, uninterrupted view of Scottburgh main beach just 500 meters away. French doors lead out to a wide open balcony, fabulous for all day family gatherings or lounging in a beach chair with a good book. For the evenings or to entertain the kids, there is a TV and a DVD player for your enjoyment. Limited Wi Fi is available. The dining area has a bar fridge and the dining room table can seat eight comfortably. Open the large sliding window and enjoy sitting at the welcoming bar area which gives easy access to the outside balcony and takes advantage of the beautiful garden and sea views. The property has a sizeable garden area, great for kicking a ball around or you can relax on the cool shaded lower veranda and enjoy a cocktail or two whilst cooling down in the private splash pool. As the property was designed for family holidays, there is parking available for at least three cars, safe within the premises and secured by an electric gate and palisade fence. We have internal and external alarm sensors, for your peace of mind - so you can simply relax and enjoy your vacation. The main bedroom is situated on the lower ground floor and has dark wooden furniture complimented by crisp white cotton linen dressing the queen-size bed . There are built-in cupboards, a ceiling fan and lovely original artworks on the walls. The en-suite bathroom is extra spacious and has a free-standing bath, his and hers basins and a stunning, large double shower.
The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, also with crisp white cotton linen to maintain the airy seaside feel of the house, it offers built in cupboards and a small dressing table and ceiling fan and is a delight for early birds as this room has access to the lower veranda where one can enjoy Scottburgh's beautiful sunrises or take a dip in the splash pool after a long hot day at the beach. On this level there is separate family bathroom which has a shower, his and hers basins and a toilet. This bathroom is right next door to the second bedroom. The third bedroom option is located above the living area in an open plan loft arrangement . This sleeping loft offers a queen-size bed with fresh white cotton linen, ample storage for clothing and a large picture window which overlooks the garden. This room also has a ceiling fan and spare mattresses are available for the kiddies to sleep on. The loft makes for a great teen pad, or play area or an ideal third bedroom for an extra couple with their younger children. There is a guest toilet conveniently located in the living area just below the loft. There is a futon in the living area as an extra sleeping option if required.
