Troutways Private Retreat, located just outside Waterval Boven, is the perfect getaway from city life. It was conceived not only for the sake of fly fishing, but as an escape to fresh air, the smell of the veld, the sound of Fish eagles and family togetherness around a fire.
We are situated in a valley of the eastern Dakensberg just outside town.
There are 4 well-stocked trout dams (Rainbow Trout) which are fishable from April to October. There's more than enough water frontage to secure totally private fishing.
There are four fully self-contained lodges available; the revamped Homestead, Log cabin and Rainbow Lodge & the luxurious Guinea fowl Lodge. Each lodge is rented out as a unit, which guarantees total privacy for you and your guests. The retreat is also particularly suited to executive entertainment. Lodges can be fully serviced at an additional rate.
Each lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and Homestead Lodge has a bar as well as a pool table. All lodges have outside patios with built in braai's. Bedding and towels is provided. An initial amount of wood is supplied, but more wood can be purchased. Also available are hiking, mountain biking, adventure bike riding, rock pools for swimming, a canoe, ample bird life and bright stars at night.

There are braai facilities close to but not attached to the house as well as a car port. Sleeps a minimum of 2 people.
