Easily accessible from both Johannesburg and Pretoria, Ditholo Lodge is set in a malaria-free wildlife estate with over 1100 ha of intact wilderness, the lodge is safe and child-friendly.
Ditholo Lodge is home to more than 250 species of birds. One of the most unique and endearing features of Ditholo is the waterhole that is home to our resident family of Hippos, that can be viewed right from the safety of the lodge.
Ditholo Wildlife Estate has active breeding and conservation programs for Buffalo, Sable and Nyala and is a fully accredited member of the Wildlife Ranching Association of South Africa. Game drives are the highlight of any stay at Ditholo and game walks and tree trails are an exceptional way to get closer to nature.
The suites offer luxury accommodations for 12 Standard rooms and four Family Suites. The individual chalets offer the highest standard of comfort and complete privacy.
Twin Suite:
Our Twin Suites features two separate beds. The room features: ensuite bathroom with shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini bar (stocked on request), free Wi-Fi internet, and TV with DSTV.
Family Suite:
Our Family Suite sleeps four People and has two separate bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom with shower. Family rooms have a lounge with TV, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini bar (stocked on request), free Wi-Fi internet, and TV with DSTV.
King Bed Suite:
Our King Bed Suites have an extra length king sized bed featuring: ensuite bathroom with shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini bar (stocked on request), free Wi-Fi internet, and TV with DSTV.
Guests can enjoy a traditional African Boma Dinner experience that’s takes place every Saturday evening and on special occasions by arrangement. Indulge in dinner under the stars with friends and family while soaking in the sounds and ambiance of the African night.
Nothing represents a true wildlife experience like a guided Game Drive, get to see the Lodge’s Fauna and Flora up close and personal. The drives are conducted by a professional Game Ranger and binoculars, reference materials and refreshments are all provided.
The Lakeside Bar is a popular meeting area complete with a relaxing four-sided log fireplace and comfortable lounge area providing pre-dinner drinks or an after dinner nightcap. Guests can play a game of pool or watch a sporting event on our Flat screen TV or just relax outside on the deck overlooking the water features.
The restaurant serves as the hub of Ditholo Lodge, traditional thatch and wood vaulted ceilings, wrap around views with a centred serving and buffet station. The menu offers a wholesome approach to an authentic bush dining experience. Specialties are our expansive Breakfast spreads and the sumptuous Dinner menu

We received a warm welcome by Lebogang. We enjoyed every minute of our time there. To wrap it up all, the game drive with Robert was fascinating as well.
A big thank you to all the staff, Lebogang, Fikile, Daniel, Arnold and Elisa. You guys made our stay very warm and homely. Your hospitality is out of this world.
