Enjoy a well deserved holiday or stop over en route to the Kruger and private game parks, in the beautiful Magoebaskloof mountains, home of the annual Spring azalea and cherry blossom fair. Fully equipped self catering units are set in beautiful gardens.
Swimming pool on the property with birding, walks and mountain biking.
Horse riding, hiking, zip line, abseiling, tubing and golf in the area. Places of interest include the Woodbush and Agatha forest reserves, Modjadji cycad forest and Rain Queen, Ebenezer, Dap Naude, Magoebaskloof and Tzaneen dams.
Magoebaskloof Tourism has established mountain bike routes, which could also be used for hiking, between the various tourism establishments in the area (accommodation, tea gardens etc.). Visitors to the area will be able to pick up a route from any participating establishment or a hub such as Cheerio Gardens/ Stanford Lake College. Maps of the routes are available on their website. The trails consist of some single track through forests and/or open farm land, existing farm roads and paths, fire boundaries and public country (sand) roads. To create the optimum linkage, the routes also traverse commercial timber growers’ properties.
