Zoete Inval is one of those places that is really “out of the box”, because it is simply “home”… to the owners and travellers alike.
The Dutch name means “sweet drop in” or sweet welcome. Serving traveller’s needs since 1993, it is still going strong. Their retro-eco theme runs throughout. Heritage furniture and quality linens coupled with eco-creative touches provide “home from home” comfort.
Gardens envelop the buildings and the veggie/herb patch provides fresh greens year round. Touches like the repurposed wine barrel hammock and the retirement furniture ensure rest and relaxation for weary travellers or holiday makers. Healthy refuelling starts with their “kefir” enriched breakfast with homemade muesli, preserves and fresh fruit. Don’t worry; a protein power punch is available too! Rediscover the garden hideouts and smoker’s corners waiting to swallow you in the refreshing greenery.
The guesthouse offers 7 comfortably appointed rooms on two floors. On the ground floor, the 2 rooms each have a private entrance; they are opposite the fireside library and breakfast room (used in winter). Upstairs, 5 rooms surround the TV lounge with DSTV and a self-serve coffee/tea counter. Mountain and sea facing balconies provide private places for everyone. All 5 upstairs rooms have a sleeper couch that sleeps a third person. All rooms are equipped with fresh crisp linen, towels, writing desks, heaters, fans, full length mirrors and bed-lamps.
The House provides private rooms with B&B style & comfort. Seven rooms over two floors (3 doubles, 3 twins and family suite) with TV lounge, fire-side library, balconies and self-service tea/coffee counter.
The loft, in hostel style simplicity, consists of two dormitories, a double room with small sitting area. A family suite is located on the ground floor next to the kitchen.
