Lizard Rock is situated in the African bush, in the valley of Rhenosterkop, with the tranquility of nature and fresh water mountain springs.
Approximately 6 kms from Nelspruit and only 35 kms from Kruger National Park. It makes an excellent base for exploring Mpumalanga.
Our accommodation comes in the form of self-catering units as well as overnight facilities/room only. We offer:
Lizard Unit with 2 x double bedrooms and 2 en-suite shower rooms, with 1 toilet, outside seating and braai facilities with gas stove also. Sleeps 4 persons and is situated near the swimming pool. All linen is supplied.
Our Dormitory accommodates four guests with bunk beds and an en-suite shower & basin. The toilet is in the building below the Dormitory. Fridge, kettle & complimentary coffee/tea facilities are also available.
Lizard Village is a double room log hut, complete with shower & basin (toilet in nearby building). Fridge, kettle & complimentary coffee/tea facilities are also available.
People staying in the Dormitory & Lizard Village can also use the swimming pool.
We have a local entertainment area where you can enjoy a drink at the bar, have something to eat or have a braai. The Restaurant serves lunches. Braai facilities and breakfasts are available on request.
Nelspruit has a sub-tropical climate and lush hills. It is the ideal place from which to explore Mpumalanga. The Lowveld Botanical Gardens are located just outside of the town which boasts a rare collection of plant species – well worth a visit. The Sudwala Caves/Dinosaur Park and cultural core, allows for a primitive African feel.
