PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LODGE IS CLOSED FOR THE TIME BEING, BUT ALL OUR SELF CATERING UNITS ARE OPEN, ON A SELF CATERING OPTION AND CAN BE SERVICED DAILY. Come and stay in a safe haven during these stressing times, hide away from it all. Situated on the property of Forest Creek Lodge & Spa, set in a Private Nature Reserve, in the Steinkampsberg Mountains.
This self-catering unit is the ultimate in luxury and outdoor living. It supports a braai, fridge, microwave oven, 2 plate gas stove, and is fully equipped. It has a fireplace, full DSTV, his and her outdoor stone shower, veranda, its own private garden, huge bath tub for two with lots of romantic candles, king sized extra length bed, fan, electric blanket, bar fridge and heater, snuggle under our percale cotton duvets and linen. We supply fire wood, should you wish to braai on charcoal, and then please bring your own. Clay pigeon shooting, spa treatments, the 'bush bath' can all be booked during your stay. You are welcome to book any activity and or meal at the lodge.
Activities at the Lodge:
Bush Bath - Set in a secluded spot, enjoy a 'Bath' in the bush, with lots of bubbles and champagne under the moonlight and stars.
Forest Spa - Indulge yourself in our private Spa overlooking the gorge, go home feeling relaxed and stress free.
Gazebo Romantic Private Dinner - Spoil your loved one, and request this romantic setting for a totally private candle lit dinner under the gazebo. Many a proposal of marriage has been accepted in this lovely setting!
Hikers Picnic - A picnic packed in a rucksack, get ready to hike to the waterfall!
Lazy Picnic - A picnic set out for you in a private spot, with champagne, a good one for the romantic at heart.
Hiking - Marked trails through the forest, along the stream, (where in summer you can see the tiny tree Orchids, ferns and flowers, and fungi).
Bird Watching - We have a prolific variety of uncommon species of Birds that can be seen, including a resident pair of Black Eagles. We have a Forest Creek bird list.
Horse Riding - 4km down the hill, book a ride in our scenic valley.
Mountain Biking - Bring your bikes and enjoy the off road cycling. Great views as you ride. A hard ride!
Clay Pigeon Shooting - An interesting and testing range for the novice and experienced shotists.
Jet Ski - Bring along your own Jet Ski and enjoy a day of fantastic skiing on the Kwena dam. The dam is 1200 Hectares. Picnic’s available. There is no charge, and parking is available for your trailers and Ski’s.
Elephant Rides - Enjoy a day’s outing and visit the ‘Elephant Whisperers’ where one can interact with the Elephants. You get to touch and feel the animal, and have an educational talk on the animal after which you can go for a ride on this magnificent beast. I went and it is really awesome. One tick off my bucket list.

They were super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel special. Effort was put into the smallest detail. The place was incredibly clean and tidy. Our suite was modernly decorated and comfortable. We had everything we possibly needed. There was a beautiful garden and walking path if you felt like going outdoors. Otherwise there was WIFI if you wanted to be indoors. They had a 4 course set menu for each day which was delicious. The service that we received was beyond impressive and the kindness of the people really touched me. It was truly peaceful and such a great environment to be in. I would highly recommend this resort and I would come back to stay again at anytime. "
