Set at the foot of the Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, the historical Weltevreden Estate offers elegant accommodation and a restaurant.
Fitted with period furniture the exquisitely refurbished Manor House at Weltevreden offers guest accommodation at a world-class standard.
There are four elevated bed chambers upstairs under a cosy thatched roof.
The main suite on the ground floor includes access to and the use of an inviting, yellow wood kitchen as well as the formal dining area and lounge. Our boutique accommodation operates on a bed-and-breakfast basis, with lunch and dinner available from Lekke Neh restaurant serving local and culinary cuisine.
We welcome children to our amazing, carnival-inspired kiddies’ area. Our estate boasts many splendid features, not least of which are dedicated minders and space in abundance with age-appropriate entertainment.
Weltevreden Estate represents one of the most beautiful, family-orientated settings for weddings and intimate functions in Stellenbosch and the surrounding areas. We have literally cultivated a setting for a variety of wedding specifications and implore you to allow us the privilege to not only accommodate your wishes, but make them a reality.

"We recently spent two nights at Weltevreden Estate in order to attend a wedding being held nearby. The Manor House really is an exquisite example of historical architecture and there was great attention to detail in terms of the decor and setting. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly and we enjoyed our stay immensely! The only negative about our stay is that there was an odd chemical smell in our room: it almost smelled like paint thinners and my boyfriend suggested they might have recently treated the thatch with retardant. Anyway, it wasn't bad enough to put us off completely, but it certainly wasn't pleasant either. The room was also extremely dark. Other than that, a really wonderful time!"
