The Spinning Reel Beach Cottages & B+B offers beach front beach cottages, chalets and B+B rooms. All of our beach cottages have sea views and are comfortably but simply decorated and positioned in private, natural settings with private braai areas. The cottages are fully equipped and include bedding.
Our Bed & Breakfast rooms have fantastic sea views and have luxury finishes, en-suite bathrooms and private entrances.
Alternatively, opt for our super chalets: providing even more luxurious accommodation than the beach cottages. One log chalet has two bedrooms, a loft area and 2 bathrooms; the other log chalet and the Vermont chalet have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All are fully equipped with TV (DSTV if you bring your own card) and a microwave.
We are situated 3km from the Kowie River mouth and the centre of Port Alfred in the heart of the Sunshine Coast and Settler Country with Grahamstown, Bathurst, Kenton-on-Sea and Kleinemond nearby. We have the wonderful Royal Port Alfred Golf Course nearby and have boat hire, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, hiking, horse riding, shopping facilities and many restaurants nearby. There are also malaria free game parks within close drives: Addo Elephant Park, Kariega, Pumba, Kwandwe, Sibuya, Kichaka, Shamwari and Lalibela.
Walk straight onto the beach from The Spinning Reel - no roads to cross. You will feel comfortable and relaxed in this great secure environment.
Please note:
Arrivals later than 19h00 must be organised with us prior to arrival.
Please bring with you (self-catering only):
Beach, bath and kitchen towels, washing up liquid, toiletries (soap & toilet paper), matches (for gas stove in beach cottages), waterproof sheets for children, cot bedding, table linen and a torch.
We regret no late night check-in!.
