Travessia is an Eco Beach Lodge that is all about understated barefoot-luxury. A mere 1.5 hours’ drive from the airport of Inhambane, and just six kilometre of sand track away from the main road, the lodge is accessible enough for a long weekend break and yet remote enough still to give you that instant feeling of being cast-away.
Bathrooms are ensuite with a separate toilet and outdoor shower, except for Casa Madeira, which has the shower indoor.
Wooden walkways lead from the rooms to the Lodge’s main building with the restaurant, lounge and a spacious deck, overlooking the palm grove and the sea. A short walk from the restaurant will take you to our beach bar and rim-flow pool with sundeck. The lodge is entirely solar powered – ensuring a light environmental footprint.
Please note:
* Minimum stays: Five nights during peak season, two nights any other time of the year unless otherwise agreed in writing.
* Toddlers up to three years sleeping in a baby cot stay free.
* Children of three years and older can be accommodated in an extra bed in most rooms.
* Our family room Casa Tartaruga has been designed and priced for families traveling with young children. For bookings with children over the age of 16 and/or more than two adults, a food surcharge per night for the 3rd and 4th adult person each may apply.
* Transfers to and from Inhambane, Vilankulos and certain lodges in the province of Inhambane can be arranged upon notice at least two weeks prior to arrival. Quoted transfer fees may be subject to reasonable changes. · Drinks and all other extras incurred at the lodge must be settled at check-out.
* Check in: 14h00 – 18h00, Check out: 7h00 - 10h00; should guests need to arrive/depart outside of those times, please inform us timeously as we will always try to accommodate our guests.
* Travessia Beach Lodge is fully licensed and only beverages purchased at the restaurant and bar will be allowed on the premise, unless otherwise agreed upon before.
