Thaba Monate Game Lodge is situated in Bela-Bela, Limpopo an area best known for its wildlife, hiking trails, and iconic attractions which include Waterberg Zipline Adventures, Adventures with Elephants, Bambelela Wildlife Care, Vervet Monkey Rehabilitation Farm, and CHEETAH EXPERIENCE. The lodge is surrounded by bush, and animals roam free.
Chalets are surrounded by bush and mountains.
Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the establishment and chalets are more suitable with a 4x4 or a high clearance vehicle only.
Accommodation comprises Four-Sleeper Chalets, Six-Sleeper Chalets, and Rooibok Camping Stands. No beds or rooms on camping stands.
ACTIVITIES
On-site facilities include a cold-water swimming pool, braai area, conference facilities, and secure parking. Guests are also welcome to enjoy activities that include, bird watching, game viewing however not game drives, cycling. We do not supply any bicycles you are welcome to bring your own.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no TVs in the chalets. No warm swimming pools
Camping Sites: Please note we don’t supply tents or caravans (EMPTY STANDS)
Our Rooibok camping stands are in an open camp (where the antelopes walk through the camp), and within walking distance from our facilities & (swimming pools) One stand includes only one vehicle and only allows camping for 6 people MAX, per stand. Shared ablutions. Electric points at every stand. No rooms or beds on the stands.

"Camping at Thaba Monate is awesome, Nyalas and Impalas are roaming freely between the campsites, lots of birdlife and we even had a sailing visitor on Sunday morning while packing. The staff are friendly and the braais are cleaned daily. We enjoyed the swimming pool and walks inside the resort and the views are stunning. It was wonderful to hear lions roaring at night while sitting at the camp fire. Management should only attend to the water supply by the ablutions but other than that, we are definitely camping again at Thaba Monate! "
