Whether you are looking for peace and tranquillity in our beautiful natural surroundings, or want to experience the culture of a working organic farm, we have the accommodation option to suit your needs. Nestled in a picturesque valley in the Cango Valley, De Kombuys offers you the opportunity to take in the rustic atmosphere of farm life while enjoying the comforts and luxuries of home.
Our variety of sleeping options cater for couples, singles and families. Our Deli serves breakfast & lunch (dinner on request). Taste our unique wines while enjoying a cheese platter. Come and enjoy Klein Karoo living at its leisurely, unpretentious best.
This farm stay’s, country-style accommodation is decorated in natural colours and features a patio with views of the garden and mountain. Each unit comes fitted with a dining area, fan and a private bathroom offering a shower.
Die Bakhuis and Die Ou Skooltjie are our Vineyard Cottages situated at the edge of the Shiraz vineyard and has a truly magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. This cottage is over 100 years old and reflects its’ previous use – a baking house and a school room – in its name. Thick clay walls and classic sash windows complement the rustic ambience of the farm-style decor.
Herbert House is our luxury family house and sleeps up to 8. Features of this spacious, open plan, Karoo style house include, air conditioning, satellite TV, 2 braai areas, Jacuzzi and a Nespresso machine.
At De Kombuys we strive for an eco-friendly approach, our motto states ‘’Add value to Nature from Man and add value to Man from Nature’’. We have grass fed beef, an up and coming Wagyu herd, heirloom vegetables, apple cider vinegar, fantastic wine, free range eggs and grass fed lamb. Everything is free range and organic with no antibiotics, no poison and no growth hormones.
We also have an earthworm operation producing worm castings on a continuous basis which is then spread all over the grazing, vegetables and vineyard to help maintain a healthy eco-system. The earthworms form the basis of our input to nature. Come and join us in our venture to experience a symbiance between man and nature while producing produce that benefits both.

The 3 newly build, loose standing villas are located on the side of a hill with a bird’s eye view of the farm & Swartberg mountain range.
The villa's have private entrances leading to a spacious open plan living area with a kitchenette and lounge with a fireplace.
The living area has large glass windows and double doors that lead out to the patio with private splash pool (with heating). The bedroom (queen extra length bed) is one step level down from the living area and has a large indoor bathroom with shower and an open air bathroom with a bath and second shower.
We spare no expense with our amenities and additional luxuries. On arrival you will be welcomed by fresh flowers, fruits & a bottle of our own estate wine. A full coffee/tea station includes a Nespresso machine and an array of teas. For your bath we have ensured that you have all the goodies necessary for a relaxing outdoor bathing experience. We provide quality white bedding and fluffy towels. Daily housekeeping, private dining, turndown & concierge service can be provided (unless privacy is requested).
