Our self-catering cottages on the farm Kromme Rivier in the Elgin Valley, offer friends and family an affordable, convenient and refreshing country break. Surrounded by beautiful Oak trees our accommodation consists of seven fully equipped farm cottages, each with their own indoor fireplace, garden and braai area.
The furnished overnighters are popular with day visitors who do not wish to drive home after attending weddings or parties in the Valley. The function hall is perfect for small weddings, conferences, team building activities and parties. It is equipped with a stainless steel kitchen, indoor fireplace, TV and restrooms. The scenic towns of Greyton, Hermanus, Stanford, Villiersdorp and Caledon are all within easy driving distance of the farm, as well as the coastal towns of Kleinmond, Betty's Bay, Pringle Bay and Rooi Els, making a swim, golf game, horse ride, gourmet meal and wine tasting all possible in a day. Activities on the farm include mountain biking on our own trails (Lebanon Mountain Biking Trails) which start and end at the cottages, jogging, hiking, bird watching, and swimming. There are several wedding venues, restaurants and wine tasting venues in close proximity to the farm. This makes Oak Lane the perfect country break away.
Bedrooms all have cotton linen and towels. Kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering with gas ovens, microwaves, toasters, kettles and fridges. All crockery, cutlery and glassware is supplied.
Braai facilities are available outside each cottage. There is a small play area for children with swings and a jungle gym. The function hall is available for bookings.
Please note:
*** Check-in 14:00 to 17:00. Check-out 11:00
*** The outstanding balance needs to be paid before arrival; no cash payment on arrival please.
*** Unfortunately, pets are not allowed, and the units are non-smoking.
*** Permits for mountain biking can be paid for at the hall.
*** Guests will travel on a gravel road to reach Oak Lane Cottages.
*** Children between 0 - 10 years old pay half price. Children from 11 and above pays the full adult rate.
