The Budget Rooms are part of North Lodge which also offers bigger self-catering suites and cottages. The difference with the Budget rooms is that they are non - self-catering - that means there are no meal arrangements. These rooms will suit guests who are eating out. On a short, active stay, all you really need is the simplest, cheapest, safest and cleanest accommodation in a central spot that's easy to find and near to everything.
That is why we offer basic no frills rooms for your one or two nights flying visit on a strict budget.
Part of a safe, owner- run home (gated with CCTV cameras), these clean, private en-suite bedrooms offer just enough comfortable space for 2 guests. We can make a plan for 3, but only in a huge emergency. All on a large property in the lush green suburb of Park Hill in Durban North and on a public transport route near to the CBD - 8 minutes away, North Beach & Umhlanga beaches, Gateway, stadiums, businesses, industrial parks and many other attractions (airport 25km).
This is no-frills, budget, short-term accommodation only. The rooms have no TV and no air-conditioner. Favored by budget leisure guests and contractors. For longer stays (3 or more nights), or if you need more space and features like TV and air-conditioner, or if you are a couple with a baby, please view North Lodge Self Catering Suites right on this site. With totally private entrances, free parking alongside your unit, free Wi-Fi, and fans to beat the heat, you may also choose between a large queen bed and twin single beds - just tell us what you want in your booking notes. Nearby places: Moses Mabhida, Gateway, Suncoast Casino, Sibaya Casino, Ushaka Marine World, and Durban’s beaches. Buy any type of food nearby, it's not a problem. In case of emergency, the Ethekwini Hospital is just around the corner.

This room has a private entrance and an ensuite bathroom. In order to meet the demand for the most affordable accommodation, this room is not fitted with TV and air conditioning. Also, there are no kitchen facilities at all. Essentially, this is a clean room and a private bathroom.
Guests are required to bring their own bath towels. The room is equipped with a fan and it is possible to park right next to the entrance. Please note that, for a stay of more than 3 nights, we strongly recommend taking a self-catering suite such as Garden or Balcony. These are fitted with TV, air conditioning & kitchenettes.
