The estate was proclaimed a private nature reserve in 1995. It is the largest private nature reserve along the entire South African coastline (2798 kilometres). It extends over 2455 hectares (6066 acres) and stretches 5 kilometres along the Indian Ocean. The reserve is fully fenced along its 15 kilometres perimeter and only accessible via two gated entrances.
Secure parking and Wi-Fi is available.
Please note:
- Children aged between 0 and 12 stay free.
- There is no cell phone reception on the reserve.
- There are no shops at the reserve, please purchase your provisions on the way.
- The beaches are not suitable for swimming, it’s a very rocky shore line, there is however a pool you are welcome to use.
