Ermelo Backpackers is centrally located where 5 national routes converge so whether you're on your way to Swaziland, the Kruger National Park, Mozambique, the Drakensberg or the Kwazulu-Natal North and South Coast we are your perfect overnight rest stop.
Ermelo Backpackers is centrally situated in Ermelo.
It is a residential home converted into a hostel. Our hostel can accommodate 23 people in total. It is a typical hostel accommodation with shared bathrooms, lounge and fully equipped kitchen. We offer dorm rooms and ensuite rooms with crisp clean linen and extra blankets for chilly nights. Secure parking is available.
In room facilities include: linen, duvet and blankets provided, bunk beds and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Establishment facilities include: secure parking, lounge with satellite TV, pool table, foosball table, and fully equipped kitchen.
Please note:
- Children aged between 0 and 2 stay free.
- Children aged between 3 and 5 pay 25% of the sliding scale rate.
- We do not take check in's later than 10 o' clock at night.
- An additional fee is required should you need any of the following items: room key with gate remote, iron, polar fleece blanket or bath sheet. When you return the items you get your deposit back.

"We arrived at Ermelo very late on Thursday, all our phone batteries were dead so we couldn't communicate with them, we got really lost and ended up having to stop and charge the phone just to call for directions, I think the directions can be better explained as the link doesn't open on mobile phone..."

However, even though it was way past midnightthe manager wasso kind to direct us, wait for us patiently and being so kind. If you are going past Ermelo i'd advice you stay over here, the place was neat, the water was hot, the manager is an amazing man who was really kind to myself and my girlfriend."
