Lying at the foot of the Middagkrans Mountains, you will be close to some of the best restaurants and wine farms in the country and world. This is the ideal place to spend some quiet time with your partner, or family and friends.
The Protea Apartment can accommodate 1 couple. If you are looking for all the comforts of a home away from home for your family of friends travelling together, the Grande Plaisir Holiday Home accommodates 3 couples. Each air-conditioned double room has their own fully equipped kitchen, sitting area and ensuite bathroom. The guest houses are beautifully furnished, with a luxurious feel. Free WiFi, DSTV and safe parking is also available everywhere.
You will be able to take a stroll to the bustling town centre, but also to cook your own meals or have a typically South African braai. No matter what the weather or season, Grande Plaisir will provide the perfect setting. In winter, while the mountains are often snow-peaked, you can slumber by the fire-place with a lovely glass of red, whereas in summer you can laze in the sun by the pool, surrounded by beautiful gardens.
The owners, Louis and Marlicia Meyer, who has lived in Franschhoek for almost 30 years, will provide a personable service with lots of attention to detail. Here you can let your hair down, breathe deeply, kick out your shoes and simply absorb your gorgeous surroundings. We live for the little pleasures!
Only 10 minutes’ walk from Franschhoek village centre, situated in a peaceful residential area, Grande Plaisir is an upmarket self-catering holiday residence. This brand new accommodation is tastefully decorated with light and spacious rooms, furnished to a high quality throughout.
There are comfortable living rooms with fireplaces for the winter evenings, and fully fitted and equipped kitchens.
Each air conditioned bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, complete with double showers. The bedrooms are individually decorated with quality Egyptian cotton bedding and a handmade quilt. Each bedroom is air-conditioned and contains a safe.
The property consists of one apartment catering for 2 guests, and a second accommodating up to 6 guests. Should demand require, the entire property can be booked by one party, 8 guests, which will ensure sole use of the pool and braai area.
Outside is a beautiful rose garden and spacious pool area with quality pool furniture and undercover dining area with barbecue and pizza oven, with beautiful mountains views.
We, your hosts, stay on the property next door, and are always available, if needed.
