Addo Gateway Lodge (Guest House B & B or S/C) is three star and is situated in Cannonville, a small village on the banks of the beautiful Sundays River Estuary, 45kms East of Port Elizabeth on the N2 and is well-placed to visit the Addo Elephant National Park, only 4km from the lodge. Cannonville has a quiet village environment, safe and secure.
Walk on the sand-dunes or feel the peace and tranquillity as you sit by the river and enjoy your day.
This area is bilharzia and malaria free
Our upmarket bed and breakfast establishment with a self-catering option, is set in a beautiful garden and sleeps 8. All rooms are ensuite and have their own private entrances, TV's, Wi-Fi, fans and heaters, fridge and coffee/tea facilities, and the front rooms have a beautiful view of the river across the road. There is an in-door braai (barbeque) in the thatched lapa/entertainment area. Also available is use of indoor pool at cottage rooms adjacent to lodge with huge double room ensuite and extra family room and lounge with undercover braai area/stoep/veranda.
We can also book a seat on the Sundays River Ferry, for a magnificent cruise on the Sundays River and can quote for conferences, parties, private cruising and catering can be done as per your needs. We cruise twice a day and on special occasions as per bookings.
"Experience beyond expectations" and wonderful memories can be made whilst walking on the dunes and swimming in a safe lagoon at the river mouth. We cruise for either one hour or up to 4 hours, depending on the bookings. Bird life in abundance, jumping fish in Mullet Alley and of course hiking in the biggest sand dunes of the Southern Hemisphere and the second largest in the world. The world renowned Colchester/Alexandria dunes.
Come and explore this most spectacular scenes with us, and picture the sea, islands, dunes and Port Elizabeth, on the horizon.
