Umganu Lodge is an idyllic retreat for those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This beautiful Lodge is open to the Kruger National Park and provides uninterrupted vistas of the magnificent Sabie River which is known for attracting an abundance of wildlife. Due to Umganu being a family destination, it has a perimeter fence which is electrified to ensure that the animals do not roam into the lodge.
Umganu Lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 spacious ensuite, air-conditioned bedrooms, each one beautifully decorated in one of Africa’s big 5 animals ~ lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. The 5 suites consist of 2 standard suites, 2 twin suites and 1 master suite. All suites have a generous bathroom including a bath and a separate spacious shower along with his and her sinks. The master suite has been decorated slightly differently with copper finishes and has a large copper bath and a private outdoor heated plunge pool. Each suite steps out onto their own private patio where hours can pass sitting in one of the relaxing chairs while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Each suite comes equipped with a hairdryer, a safe as well as UK and S.A charging sockets. The lodge also has a separate room with its own private bathroom and kitchen which can be used as a pilot room or a nanny’s room.
The open-plan living area is stylishly decorated with high volume ceilings, beautiful polished cement floors and offers Wi-Fi throughout. The spacious lounge has a television along with full satellite television (DSTV), a beautiful stocked bar area and various board games for those feeling a little competitive. For those wanting a little peace and quiet, you can head upstairs and relax in the snug lounge or enjoy the sights from the outside viewing deck area.
Please note: * Upon arrival, if prior to 17h00, guests will sign in the register at the main gate with the security gates man. If after 17h00, then guests will just be handed the lodge key at the gate when signing in.
* The security will then direct all guests to their respective lodges which is also clearly marked.
* When entering the lodge the relevant paperwork such as the registration, indemnity forms and Wi-Fi voucher will be inside the lodge, and either of management will welcome you at the lodge once settled in.
* Wi-Fi is available inside the lodge.
* Free private parking is available - Reservation is not needed.
