Gowrie Farm Golf and Fly-Fishing Estate is set in Nottingham Road, in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and within the context of a working farm. The estate is surrounded by a choice of well-stocked trout dams, lush bush and kikuyu pastures. This tranquil setting is a guaranteed antidote to city stress.
The magnificent stone Clubhouse boasts five luxury, 4 star double rooms all overlooking the lake and golf course. These are run on a bed and breakfast basis. Lunches are served at Halfway House; evening meals may be enjoyed at the local restaurants, of which there are several within 5 kilometres of Gowrie Farm.

"Although our extremely comfortable room was beautifully and tastefully furnished, had good quality towels and sheets, double-glazed windows, a tea and coffee station as well as the usual complimentary toiletries, there were negatives that stopped me giving this review 5 stars. Being mid winter, with frost outside, our room was freezing and we were very surprised there was a fan but no heater. The other item missing was an information book in the room with details such as the facilities available at the lodge, places we could go for supper, meal times etc. With all the available accommodation in the area, we also felt it was on the pricey side for what we got. Staff in the dining room gave good service with a smile."
