Light, bright and airy. Johann and Petra have used this apartment as their beach cottage get-away for the past 3.5 years. They have recently updated it and added it to their DK Villas portfolio. So it’s full of family history and stories – and now Johann and Petra invite you to add your “stoep stories” (Stoep is an Afrikaans word that just cannot be translated - a great spot for lekker chats, boerewors braais... a veranda or patio in front of your house) to this idyllic beach cottage. The apartment offers a wealth of natural light and the sound of the sea throughout the open plan, double volume living and kitchen space. The apartment is designed for a laid-back weekend or holiday. Brunch on the balcony or afternoon braai watching the sun set over the ocean. It’s a photographers dream those sunsets! The long white sandy beach and beautiful Atlantic Ocean are perfect for lazy days and long walks. It is in the most beautiful flower-area and bird lovers will find a wealth of birding sites, as well as the whale watching in the months of June to September, as the Southern Right whales pass the coastline… perfect for tourists to just relax… and allow the soul to unwind.

A washing machine and tumble dryer are also located in the garage, as a separate laundry facility. The complex has a dedicated washing line area. There is plenty of additional secure visitor parking bays as well.
The complex also has a communal swimming pool which is available for your use. Beach towels are supplied.

In response to the increasing concerns about travelling during the recent Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, dk villas has temporarily amended our cancellation policy to ensure guests can confidently book their holiday risk free.
Please note that these booking policies apply for all new bookings made after April 1st, 2020 for travel before October 1st, 2021. dk villas reserves the right to revert to our normal cancellation policy within this period. However, the booking policy that applies to each booking is the effective booking policy on booking date not travel date. Bookings made via agents (e.g. AirBnB, Booking.com, Lekkeslaap etc.) may be charged an agency cancellation fee.
1. In order to secure a reservation, a 50% deposit on accommodation is due.
2. Deposit is 100% refundable until date of reservation for any guest-initiated cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this includes but is not limited to government lockdowns, travel bans, exposure to COVID-19, or guest not wanting to travel for fear that it is not safe to do so.
3. Deposit is 100% refundable if dk villas initiates a closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this includes but is not limited to government lockdowns, travel bans, COVID-19 cases in the team, or area, threat to the health and safety of our team or guests, or business-related inability to trade.
4. Full payment for accommodation due 7 days prior to arrival. Full refund is available if the status of dk villas’ operations changes prior to arrival.
5. If guests are required to vacate the dk villa during their stay, any nights not taken will be refunded in full.
6. If guests would prefer to postpone instead of cancel, we would be happy to do so without penalty for any dates prior to October 1st, 2021.
We will attempt to stay in contact with our guests, letting them know what is happening with regards to dk villas closures that may need to be initiated during this period. Please note, that while we will try to do this in advance, we may not always have advance notice of government-mandated or local-response closures until the last minute. Please also note, that with lockdowns, we have an ethical responsibility to our team to allow them to travel and prepare and therefore our closure dates may not always follow the exact government mandated dates.
