Upwood is a luxury four bedroom house situated in the exclusive and secure Walkersons Estate only 10 kilometres outside Dullstroom. Upwood is a South African Tourism Council 5-star graded self-catering house. The house sleeps eight guests and is fully equipped with all amenities – DSTV decoders, Morso fireplaces and a beautiful view of the trout dams.
The house is serviced daily and our butler, Beaton, will attend to your requests.
The house consists of 4 bedrooms, all ensuite. The main bedroom is situated upstairs and overlooks the estate and courtyard. The bedroom has a king size bed, fireplace and study nook. The ensuite his and hers bathrooms contains a heated towel rail, shower and bath. The second bedroom is also privately situated at the end of the downstairs passage. It has a queen size bed, dressing table with mirror and ensuite bathroom. The room has double doors opening onto the estate and trout dams. The third and fourth bedrooms each have twin beds and inter-leading full bathroom. These bedrooms open up onto its own little courtyard and also have its own separate pyjama lounge with separate DSTV decoder and flat-screen television.
The patio is a lovely double volume area with glass stack doors to open completely on sunny days. The patio has a lounge and dining area with a wood/gas combo braai and separate fridge to keep your beverages cold. The patio opens onto the estate on the one side and onto the private courtyard on the other. The TV lounge is equipped with a fireplace, flat screen television, DVD player and fully operational DSTV system - no need to bring your own DSTV card. The lush carpet and corner couch are ideal for relaxing in front of the fireplace or television. The guest bathroom is located between the TV lounge and central dining/lounge area. The main kitchen has a free standing 6 burner gas stove and the scullery is equipped with a Bosch dishwasher. The kitchen contains all the cutlery and crockery you may need and meals can be prepared for you upon request at an additional fee. The open plan kitchen overlooks the central dining/lounge area. The house also has a double garage and laundry.
