Welcome to our working farms set near Fouriesburg on the border of the Free State and Lesotho in South Africa. These working farms offer breathtaking scenery and the chance to truly escape from civilization.
Fairview Estates is situated between Clarens and Fouriesburg in the Eastern Free State on the border of Lesotho.
This is farm accommodation and you will travel 18km on a farm road before you reach the farm. The farm is from the tar road 5km from Fouriesburg and 27km from Clarens.
All rooms have electric blankets and oil heaters, and crisp white percale linen. De Rust Farm Cottage has a Dover fireplace. The Damn Caravan however operates on gas and parafine lamps only, but has a small black stove for heating purposes, and beds have hot water bottles.
You will have 4000 hectares to explore on your own-no organised activities-lovely facility for walking and mountain biking.

This three levelled guesthouse offers the perfect place for a family or large group getaway. The rooms are warm and rustic with all the facilities to have a truly great holiday. The Twin Towers consist of three bedrooms, 2 double rooms and one room with two sets of bunk beds (ideally for children).
All rooms are supplied with: Crisp percale white linen, electrical blankets, oil heaters, hot water bottles, complimentary soap, and cleaning materials are supplied. Cleaning services can be provided at an additional cost.

The Damn Caravan is a converted park home that is beautifully decorated inside. It offers the fly fisherman the opportunity to fish on the wall of the dam, while his family or friends can watch him from the stoep of the damn caravan - as the damn caravan is also situated right next to the dam.
Caravaning in style - unquestionably so. The damn caravan consists of three bedrooms: 1 double room, 1 3/4 bedroom and one single bedroom. Supplied with: All beds come with warm water bottles, crisp percale bedding, and supply wood for one evening only. There is a single bathroom with a shower only (gas geyser). The kitchen is fully equipped with gas fridge/freezer and gas stove.

Opstal is a beautiful old sandstone house situated on the farm Fairview Estates. The house offers guests 6 bedrooms, dining room, lounge, kitchen and a big verandah.
- All bedrooms are supplied with electric blankets and each one has an electric oil heater.
Beds are dressed with white percale linen. All bedrooms are decorated with a tartan, houndstooth and check theme.
- Three Bathrooms: Good quality bathsheets are supplied.
- Kitchen: Fully equipped (kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer, bar fridge, gas stove, toaster, coffee machine, high quality Maxwell and Williams crockery)
- Dining Room: Formal with a 10 seater antique dining room table.
A washing machine and dryer are available on request.
- Stoep: Enormous verandah with built in braai (Leather couches as well as 6-8 seater garden bench) and a weber braai alongside the built-in braai.
- Lounge: Spacious with fireplace.. Lounge has 1 leather couch, 2 leather wing backs as well as fabric 3 seater couch-antique furniture finishes this room off. Lots of interesting artwork provide a feast for the eye.
