The Grey Hotel

Hotel

The Grey Hotel is a personally directed boutique hotel situated opposite the famous Cape Quarter, making it the perfect base from which to explore Cape Town and its surrounds.
The hotel which consists of beautifully intimate 19th century heritage houses, with various courtyards at its centre, was completely redesigned, renovated, and refurbished in 2016 turning it into an elegant, luxurious space for the discerning traveller.
Our 13 rooms are small but cosy, funky but comfortable, and will accommodate you with everything you need in order to enjoy a relaxing stay. We offer four poster beds with Egyptian linen, exquisite cosmetics from top local brand, Charlotte Rhys, free Wi-Fi-connectivity throughout the entire hotel, premium TV channels, LED flat screen TV’s, and a minibar with all the little things you need. Two of the rooms have their own, private sun terrace.
We have a simple policy: no flat-irons, no hotel slippers, no bell boys or other tired old hotel clichés. Instead you will enjoy the very best of everything you desire. Come and join us.
At our rooftop bar, Pink Parrot, guests can relax by the pool, sip on unique house cocktails or experience small tapas-style dishes from Shios Restaurant, while overlooking the majestic Table Mountain and sapphire blue Atlantic. The Pink Parrot sky bar is therefore perfect for lazing in the sun, enjoying a sundowner or experiencing Cape Town’s vibey nightlife after sunset. In the famous piano bar you can spend your evenings listening to live jazz and blues concerts while enjoying the infamous fresh basil cocktails and mini burgers. We are also introducing a new Japanese restaurant, Shio, into our experience of The Grey. Executive chef, Chenye Moresby, one of Cape Town’s most prominent and successful chefs who previously managed to set a new standard for fine dining with his restaurant Cheyne’s in Hout Bay, will be providing patrons with unique and innovative Japanese fusion dishes, which will soon be the talk of the town. The hotel’s various units function in perfect harmony to create a beautifully designed and luxurious place that caters to guests’ every need. Cool hotel for urban people.
Please note:
- All rooms acommodate a maximum of 2 adults, kids on request.
- All rooms are non-smoking, except on rooms 3 and 4 balconies.
- No pets allowed.
