Margate is a popular seaside town on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, about 135km from Durban (a drive of roughly an hour and twenty minutes) and 695km from Johannesburg (or just over seven and a half hours drive).

Walk to Margate Beach, a safe, protected bathing beach, or take a short drive to one of the many other beaches nearby – Ramsgate; Shelly Beach, St Michaels-on-Sea and Uvongo.
