Centrally situated, we are the islands’ officially endorsed guest lodge offering you a selection of Self-Catering Accommodation options on the water’s edge of Knysna’s exclusive Thesen Islands.
As self-catering, choose from Heron View Home or our two 5 luxury bedroom apartments, The Crow’s Nest and The Lookout.
Each lodge comprises 5 ensuite bedrooms and is equipped with:
- Fully equipped open plan kitchen with 5-burner gas range, oven and dishwasher.
- Flat screen TVs in each bedroom.
- 10-seater dining area.
- Big lounge with TV and fireplace.
- Verandah.
- Built-in Braai.
- Free Wi-Fi.
Elegant décor and contemporary, open-plan architecture lend a sublime and relaxing atmosphere to each unit. An intuitively equipped kitchen and housekeeping services ensure carefree holiday living.
As a B&B, The Crow's Nest and The Lookout offers the holidaymakers the best breakfasts from any of the four restaurants on Thesen Islands: Quay Four Restaurant, Panakuk, The Turbine’s Island Café or the award winning ile de pain.

As our lodges are located at the very end of Thesen Harbour Town, two of the bedrooms and the shared areas (dining area, lounge and wrap-around veranda) have the most fantastic views of the Knysna Lagoon from Belvidere to the Heads.
