Dusternbrook Safari Guest Farm
Windhoek
Safari/Game Lodge
(6
rooms)
(4 customer reviews)
The oldest Guest Farm in Namibia, with its spectacular view, lies just 50 km north of Windhoek, on the way to Etosha, Damaraland, Skeleton Coast and the Namib desert.
We cater only for the individual traveller. The old colonial buildings (1909) have been carefully renovated and extended to keep the flair of the by-gone times.
Complimented by inviting rooms, a tasty cuisine and the personal service is brought to you by a team of individual players.
Adventure excellent cheetah and leopard drive and see about 15 different species of game and rich birdlife on the safari game drive. A early morning special mountain drive with different view points and the possibility to see the rare and endemic Hartmann mountain zebra is offered free if you stay two or more nights. Feel space, clean air and tranquillity or enjoy 4 well marked walking trails or horseback riding. Enjoy a swim or the atmosphere around our big pool.
We run and manage the farm in an environmental friendly way and participate in the Namibian eco award. In 2005 and in 2007 we got 3 and in 2008 we been awarded with 4 out 5 flowers. Except for one or two Wilderniss Lodges we are the only Safari Guest Farm in Namibia with such a high rating.
If your senses like the mix of historical flair, eco management, pure nature and space, conservation of rare and endangered species, adventure, personal service, individual people and a family atmosphere, than you should be our guest.
Number of rooms: 6 double units and one single. All rooms are individually furnished, partly antique, partly specially made furniture. Limited camping, but what you take in you take out not to create a baboon problem!
Our rates include Breakfast, Dinner and two activities (for example: cheetah and/or leopard drive and/or a safari game drive)
