Enjoy sweeping vistas at FrancolinHof, owner-managed guesthouse, from all four luxury en suite rooms, patios and balconies which overlook one of the loveliest views of the mountain and sea in Hermanus. Ideally situated bordering Fernkloof Nature Reserve, FrancolinHof is surrounded by birdlife, proteas and other fynbos.
During the day view the mountain and Walker Bay - and whales in the distance – sunsets in the evening and Hermanus lights at night.
Each comfortably luxurious bedroom has the option of twin or king-sized beds and has a TV, mini ‘fridge, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities.
Heaters are installed and fans are provided as necessary, and there is underfloor heating and heated towel rails in all bathrooms. We welcome persons in wheelchairs.
Breakfast includes healthy and hearty options with home made and local produce. We consult a dietitian for special dietary requirements on request. Picnic and sundowner baskets are available with advance warning.
After a good meal and peaceful sleep far from the noise of traffic, you will feel refreshed to explore Hermanus. Stroll onto the mountain from our garden - or a steeper climb for the more energetic - and marvel at this areas' rich floral heritage.
The beautiful Cliff Path and Blue Flag Grotto beach are just a 10 minute walk downhill and the old harbour and restaurants in the centre of Hermanus are 5km away. Other nearby options include mountain biking - the trail passes behind FrancolinHof - horse riding, boating or sea kayaking. Helicopter rides, whale and shark viewing and bird watching can also be arranged for you.
FrancolinHof is an excellent base to explore places of interest in the Overberg and South Coast.
