Lalapanzi Lodge is a family owned and operated guest house situated in 600 acres of forest, fynbos and vineyards on the edge of the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve. The Lodge is part of a 17 hectare farm that has just planted 4 hectares of vines and is busy restoring 2.5 hectares of the farm into indigenous fynbos.
The self-catering lodges and en-suite B&B rooms are beautifully built from log and stone and all have stunning views across False Bay and the Cape Peninsula. Ideally located to explore the Cape we’re only 10 minutes from the beach at Gordon’s Bay and Strand, 20 minutes from Stellenbosch, 35 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and 50 minutes from Cape Town city centre and Franschhoek. Even if you don’t leave the estate you won’t struggle to entertain yourself. Take a leisurely stroll around the estate. Chill out by the pool with views over the mountains and the sea. Relax on the balcony of the main lodge with a glass of wine from a local vineyard while watching the eagles, and a whole variety of kestrels, kites and other local wildlife. If you’re feeling slightly more adventurous there are lots of activities and day trips to keep you entertained including, horse riding, golf, hiking, whale watching, water skiing, wine tasting etc. Retire to Lalapanzi in the evening and treat yourself to a delicious home-made meal prepared with seasonal ingredients from the region by our own chef.
