Grootfontein Nature Reserve is nestled in the Waterberg Region in Limpopo Province, an area teeming with wildlife, spectacular scenery and many private game reserves. This region is home to an abundance of flora and fauna, as well as over 380 species of birds! Grootfontein is an eco-lodge and proudly off-the-grid! We have 5 unique lodges to choose from, offering solar lighting and gas fridges, showers and hobs, and 2 beautiful camping grounds.
Each lodge and camping ground has its own braai area and splash pool as well as a fully equipped kitchen. We offer hiking, mountain biking, herping and birding as well as the absolute peace and tranquillity that come with the bushveld. Grootfontein is a rustic bushveld lodge and caters for true lovers of the African bush!
