Sea Escapes is a rustic bush lodge offering self-catering accommodation with five double cabins which share the outdoor lapa flowing out onto the splash pool, camp fire and barbeque area. In addition, families have the choice of self-catering 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 sleeper cottages with a private braai area with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining on the veranda.
Establishment facilities include Wi-Fi in a designated area only. Gas cookers in all individual cottages and in the communal kitchen for use of guests staying in the cabins.

The African sunset sees you sipping sundowners beside the pool at Toad Tree Cabins, or exchanging tales around the camp fire, to the sound of the African drums and the sizzling of meat on the braai. We would be delighted to welcome you to our cabins, share the African spirit and accompany you on a game drive or a cultural tour.
The pristine coastal forests bordered by the world’s highest naturally vegetated dunes which shelter golden beaches, and washed by the warm Indian Ocean. Currently we offer visitors an exceptional scuba diving or snorkelling experience. We are privileged to share this underwater paradise with the many sea creatures that have made Sodwana Bay in their home. We invite you to join us as we explore this underwater world of incredible beauty, fascinating aquatic life and, abounding in Indo-Pacific fish, whale sharks, turtles, and manta rays that live amongst the many caves and overhangs. We offer a boutique diving service with exclusive boat charters and personal attention for the discerning diver. For the novice, diving courses and training can be arranged.
Please note:
- As Sodwana Bay is a world heritage site, there is a gate fee levied by Kwa-Zulu Natal wildlife per person per day and per child per day.
- Scuba divers will require a permit in order to dive.

Over peak season there is a minimum stay requirement of 5 nights. There are 2 x 2 sleeper ensuite cabins, with open-air shower, basin and loo. They share a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, lounge, dining area camp fire, braai and pool on site. All the cabins have their own ensuite open-air shower rooms with hot and cold running water and are serviced once a day.
They have double or single beds, plug points, with fans, electronic mosquito repellents and linen. Towels are only provided for foreign guests. Washing, drying and ironing facilities are available on request.
