Nolangeni Hotel is newly refurbished and re-opened on 04 Jan 2011, it is currently the only hotel situated in the historic town of Kokstad, the ideal stop over for company representatives and small groups traveling and in the area.
Kokstad is a town in the Sisonke District of KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa.
Kokstad is named after the Griqua chief Adam Kok III who settled there in 1863. Kokstad is built on the outer slopes of the Drakensberg and is 1,302 m above the sea level. Behind it Mount Currie rises to a height of 2,224 m.
This South western tip of KwaZulu-Natal is the Southern Gateway to the entire KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and Eastern Cape including The Wild Coast.
Cradled by the mighty Drakensberg, the Nungi and Ingeli Mountains, characterized by numerous rivers and streams, wide open spaces and unspoilt vleis, covering an area of 4000 square kilometres.
The diverse and interesting fauna, flora and geographical features of the region and the sweeping panoramic views, make this area the unspoilt jewel of the province.
Nolangeni Hotel offers 24 hour reception with 40 tastefully decorated, spacious en-suite rooms with either a bath or shower. Guests have a choice between king, double, or twin beds, all rooms being furnished in charming cottage-style with modern fittings.
All the bedrooms have TV’s with the choice of ten DSTV channel, tea and coffee-making facilities and telephones.
