The Premier Resort Sani Pass is situated at the foot of the famous Sani Pass which is only passable by 4X4 vehicle and is on the bucket list of all off-road enthusiasts.
The Premier Resort Sani Pass, which recently underwent an R130 million major renovation, is 1577 meters above sea level and the Pass rises 1297 meters higher to 2874 meters at the Lesotho border.
The resort is nestled at the foot of the Pass on the banks of the Mkhomazana River with its fresh water direct from the Drakensberg Mountains.
The resort offers guests an array of accommodation choices to suit each and every traveller’s needs. Tastefully decorated with elegant and stylish furniture and décor, this resort places travellers on the doorstep of South African beauty.
The Premier Resort Sani Pass is surrounded by the mountains with all the activities that these provide and is the base for 4X4 excursions up the Sani Pass. Experience the feeling of freedom and a connection with nature with our Mountain Bike trails taking riders deep into the heart of the legendary mountains. 4x4 Trips and Rock Art Tours can be arranged. The resort is also the base for horse trails up the mountain to Lesotho as well as shorter horse rides around the property and pony rides for the children. Experience the magnificence of our location on horseback, with our trails taking guests out into the rolling grasslands and breath-taking viewpoints. Outrides cater for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders on well-schooled and cared for horses. The hotel has its own 9 hole golf (18 tees) course, laid out along the meandering Mkhomzana River with many scenic river crossings.
Premier Resort Sani Pass offers a fantastic range of sporting facilities on its 800 ha property. We have a full-size bowling green where you can challenge your fellow guests to a light, easy game of bowls. There is a badminton court situated close to the pool, two tennis courts, a squash court, volleyball courts and two outdoor pools adjacent to the outdoor terrace, where the whole family can enjoy a fun-filled day. For the children, a seasonal kids club, Premier Kids, offers supervised activities, games room and a large play area with trampolines, swings, slides and a paddling pool with a fountain. Fishing is done on a catch and release method. Rods and tackle are available for hire and reception will assist you with a day permit.

The restaurant seats 120 persons and has a separate Children’s Dining Room and Play Area where children are supervised by qualified staff while the parents relax for their meal. This is optional as the children are also welcome in the restaurant and a Children’s Menu available.
