Surrounded bushveld, Calabash Safari Lodge is a small and eco-friendly lodge in Marloth Park.
The lodge offers guests lovely thatched-roof rooms that can each accommodate 2 guests. With straw bale walls, the non-smoking rooms are furnished with either twin beds or a queen-size bed, and each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
Guests need to bring their own towels. The rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and open onto a stoep with lounge chairs, overlooking the bush. There is WI-FI.
Guests are welcome to book a communal kitchenette at an additional cost. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-plate mini stove and oven, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Meals can be enjoyed at the dining table, and guests can relax in the lounge.
The main building opens onto a deck with the pool and boma braai facilities are available for guests to use.
Visitors to Marloth Park will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of free-roaming wildlife, do some bird watching, cycling and walking. The reserve also offers a water park, and putt-putt as well as basic facilities such as a liquor store, a restaurant, a bakery, a curio shop, and a petrol station.
